Uttarakhand is a new state .The literacy rate of Uttarakhand is higher than national literacy rate so that demand of educaion is respectively high in uttarachal.Right from the inception of new state the Department of Education is trying to explore every opportunity to extend the reach to education upto far flunged areas of the state.Sostreng- thing of present structure and exploring new dimension , various schemes has been framed according to the need of state .Computer Education to the secondary schools and midday meal schemes to the primery school is one of the schemes run by state School Education Department
